Melissa Martin

Director of Program Development and Evaluation

Melissa joins the West Virginia Food and Farm Coalition, bringing over a decade of experience in program development, education and curriculum design, and non-profit grant writing. Melissa holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology, a Masters in Science Education, a Masters in Social Work with an emphasis on Community and Youth Development, and an Education Specialist in School Administration. She  began her work with the West Virginia Food and Farm Coalition working as a consultant on the Business Plan for Ms. Ruby's Market. She is excited to continue to work along-side local farmers, partners, and community members while bringing new funding sources in to continue the work of supporting farmers and increasing access to local food sources within communities.

Melissa spends her free time at the dance studio where her daughter does competitive dance, completing (or at least buying the supplies to start) countless crafting projects, and exploring new places.
